Bad News Bears
Bad News Bears Apr 20, 2010

It's been a long time coming but the new EP is almost finished.
I like the work that was done on my new demos, so I planned to have "Prospects" mixed by Vince Ratti from Zolof The Rock and Roll Destroyer (Circa Survive, The Wonder Years, Days Away, New Atlantic).

Bad News Bears is also looking forward to touring this summer in support of the new EP, and I'm stoked to get back on the road!

Since the last contest I entered in "07 on mtvU.com, almost scoring me a record deal with Epitaph, I thought this contest would be a great opportunity to get my music out there on a bigger platform. It's always been a dream of mine to play Warped Tour, and if given the chance, I am certain I would not disappoint. Vote for me here: www.battleofthebands.com/badnewsbears

I feel as though a lot of people categorize me in a genre that necessarily isn't flattering at this point in music, and that certainly makes things difficult to stand out above the masses.
However, I take pride in my live shows and play my heart out, leaving nothing on stage at every show, even if I end up playing for just the sound guy (it's all happened to us at some point in time haha).

After I graduate college with a degree, I plan on hitting the road full time to do what I love: share my music with the world. All it takes is one person who believes in your music as much as you do. Thank you for keeping the scene alive Ernie Ball and Warped Tour.

Much Love.

  • Label: None
  • Label Type: unsigned
  • About:
Mike Sacchetti, under the name "Bad News Bears," has lived in the shadows of his 2007 debut, (your name here) EP, leaving listeners wanting more. While Bad News Bears almost scored a record deal with Epitaph Records on mtvU's Best Music on Campus, appeared in the AP&R Unsigned Artist section in the January issue of Alternative Press Magazine, toured with bands such as The Wonder Years (Hopeless Records) and appeared on a Tom Petty Tribute with various popular indie artists (Promise of Redemption, Limbeck) skeptics can now eat their words. The wait is finally over.

Bad News Bears new album, "Prospects" was Engineered & Produced entirely by Mike Sacchetti within his basement and mixed by Vince Ratti (Circa Survive, The Wonder Years, Days Away), "Prospects" is a representation of growth, struggle, and the actions we take that shape and create the character we undoubtedly become.

And at the same time, Bad News Bears' core remains true to itself musically with captivating chorus' and melodic synthesizers. Mike Sacchetti continues to put his blood, sweat, and tears into every inch of Bad News Bears, except this time he is here to stay.
